III-V Epi CTO, Professor Richard Hogg, will be attending the UK Semiconductors 2023 conference, from 12th-13th July, at Sheffield Hallam University. The conference covers all aspects of semiconductor research and development, in association with the UK Nitrides Consortium, TMD-UK, EPSRC Future Photonics Hub, Materials for Quantum Network (M4QN), and the IOP Semiconductor Physics Group. In addition to the conference programme, there are drop-in sessions on the UK Semiconductor Infrastructure Initiative; developments in heterogeneous integration; and system-level quantum materials.
This year’s conference will include a briefing on the government’s forthcoming, UK National Semiconductor Strategy, from the newly formed Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT). Its purpose is to ensure the UK remains a leader in the global, semiconductor industry, through the support of commercial R&D; boosting innovation; encouraging growth; and contributing to supply chain resilience. The EPSRC-funded, Future Photonics Hub will also be actively linking its business network to leading researchers for next-generation, collaborative, photonics developments in telecommunications, healthcare, defence, and aerospace.
Richard said, “III-V Epi’s focus on fast turnaround, medium to low volume supply of MBE and MOCVD, epitaxial structures makes the company an ideal, production partner for the industrial, academic, collaborative projects the conference is seeking to establish. We expedite photonics manufacture, accelerating project development, which we support with specialist design, test, metrology, and characterisation services.”
