III-V Epi is an established part of the Scottish photonics ecosystem. It is a medium-volume manufacturer of III-V epitaxial structures, utilising MBE and MOCVD processes; a unique value proposition especially suited to markets outside high-volume, consumer electronics. This includes industrial projects for the telecoms, datacoms, additive manufacturing, AI, LiDAR, and sensing sectors, along with start-up ventures and academic initiatives – all at the forefront of III-V epitaxial structure design and development.
Membership of Technology Scotland provides III-V Epi with increased visibility in Scotland’s photonics sector and support in political lobbying and governmental influence.
