Significant experience and research in MOCVD epitaxial re-growth has allowed very high aspect ratio structures to be successfully re-grown. Here, the photonic crystal of 1550nm surface emitting laser is fully infilled with InP, based upon extensive previous experience in DFB laser re-growth.
